About the Theatre

Every season the St. Peters Courthouse Theatre comes alive with a line up showcasing local musicians, local plays, comedy acts, and storytelling shows. Whether you are looking for a side splitting comedy, an intimate Cabaret night with jazz and blues, a toe tapping good time with traditional musicians, or up and coming musicians performing pop, country, or rock music, the Courthouse Theatre strives to provide a variety of shows suited to differing tastes.

Intimate, charming and always entertaining, the St. Peters Courthouse Theatre at Quigley Memorial Hall is a not-for-profit community theatre in the village of St. Peters Bay, Prince Edward Island. Run by a volunteer Arts Council, this 90 seat air conditioned theatre offers live music and entertainment from April to December, in a historic location, with amazing acoustics.

Located on the shores of beautiful St. Peters Bay, visitors can enjoy stunning sunsets over the Bay while sampling some of the Island’s best talent. Built in 1874, the Theatre served originally as a district courthouse, then as a school for grades 9 and 10, and since 2000, as a community theatre. The Courthouse Theatre is now on the PEI Register of Historic Places.
